ALHAJI S.A GBADAMOSI – THE BIOGRAPHY
Born on the 7th of July, 1938 to Alhaji Gbadamosi Amoo Ajimati and Salamatu Gbadamosi of bibilari clan, eesa’s compound in Offa, Kwara State.
S.A.B as he’s fondly called by his contemporaries had his early education in Kaduna. He started his work career at the old northern region and had a rapid and steady growth in the civil service, where he attained the rank of senior civil servant.
At the creation of states in 1975 when Kwara state was carved out from the old northern region, his service was transferred to the new state.
In Kwara state, he undergo several management training courses, including a certificate course at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife and the United kingdom.
Alhaji Gbadamasi’s last posting was ministry of finance and economic development where he retired as Chief Store Officer. He retired in 1993 after rendering 35 years of meritorious and unblemished service to the state.
Apart from being a career civil servant, Alhaji Gbadamosi was a community leader, a religious enthusiast who devoted his life to religious and community developments. Among other Islamic organisations, he was a life patron of Sherif Islamic Organisation.
He was honoured with the patron of National Association of Purchasing and Supply Students of Nigeria, Kwara State Branch.
A member of Club 30 40 of Offa, Alhaji Saka Adeyemi Gbadamosi was married to late Alhaja Halimat and Alhaja Sikirat Gbadamosi, he’s survived by many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, he was 83 years.
He was a bridge builder among friends and family and will be remember for his forthrightness, peace making efforts and kindness to all.
