MEET NDIDI NWUNELI THE NEW DIRECTOR OF STANBIC IBTC

It is no longer news that Ndidi Nwuneli has been appointed as the new Director of Stanbic IBTC. Stanbic IBTC has announced the appointment of Mrs. Ndidi Nwuneli as the new Independent Non-Executive Director following the receipt of all required regulatory approvals. She will replace Ms. Ngozi Edozien, who retires from the Board of the Company following the completion of her regulatory prescribed tenure in compliance with the CBN’s new circular dated February 24, 2023.

Ndidi Nwuneli is the daughter-in-law of HRM Igwe Prof. Onuora Nwuneli, the traditional ruler of Igbakwu in Ayamelum LGA, Anambra State. She’s the founder of LEAP Africa with over 25 years of international development experience and a globally recognized serial entrepreneur, author, public speaker, and consultant.

Nwuneli serves on the Boards of over 7 organizations and has received major continental and global awards including Alumni Achievement Award from Harvard Business School (2021), Forbes 20 Youngest Power Women In Africa (2011), and Forbes: 20 Youngest Power Women In Africa (2011).

Through her work in the private, public, and non-profit sectors, Ndidi has led the design and execution of high-impact initiatives focused on policy, strategy, organizational design, ecosystem solutions, and growth.

She was a Senior Fellow at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business & Government at the Harvard Kennedy School and an Aspen Institute New Voices Fellow.
