IN MEMORIAM

But She didn’t give death the joy of victory. She fought the battle of courage. And despite the nature of her last hours, she left for home in peace. All should have seen her on the deathbed that fateful Monday evening. She made death look like a holiday at the beach.

Mama Aina Aideloje nee Askhia is gone but she is everywhere. Your memory will never fade. In life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. God, the omnipotent, said it was time to come back home. You have served and completed your earthly duties as Divinely apportioned.
Mummy, as we all call her, would have been 86 in April. For those of us she is leaving behind, the past few weeks have been harrowing. Now, it’s time to shed the robe of sorrow and dry the tears of agony. It’s time to start celebrating the 85+ years of life well spent. And celebrate we shall celebrate. Good Night Mama. Rest in heavenly perfect peace.
