Hello and welcome to the April edition of A-CHOICES Magazine, where we celebrate all we love about being Africans.
This month’s cover features Dr Kizzie Shako, the first female Police clinical forensic medical practitioner in Kenya. Many consider this career a man’s domain.
Dr Shako’s work involves gathering information, or evidence, from the injured in violent crimes such as sexual violence, domestic violence and child abuse cases. Currently, she is an advisor to the Chief Justice and President of the Supreme Court.
Dr Shako graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Nairobi (UON) and a Master’s degree in Forensic Medicine from Monash University, Australia, in 2019. She is determined to strengthen the criminal justice system and promote gender equality and child protection.
Her journey is beautiful and interesting, and she shared with us in this exclusive interview how she nurtured this dream from childhood and is currently living it.
Remember, you can advertise with us, as we promise to deliver. You can catch us at www.a-choicesmagazine.com for exclusive celebrity interviews, exciting articles, and more. This is a magazine where we celebrate people, lifestyles, and African achievers.
Thank you.
