The US under President Barack Obama once told the world that the people of Libya needed freedom and democracy, unfortunately; by the time the dust settled in Libya after US led NATO invasion, Libya got destroyed and the country is still in a state of war even to this day. The oil and gas of the country that Gaddafi blocked US and others from accessing, ended up in American hands. That’s the coded freedom and democracy that the US touted before the global audience.
Now they have attempted many coups to kill Ibrahim Traore and having failed in all, are now telling us that Burkinabe people crave for democracy. Which democracy? US, France, UK and others want a piece of the gold of Burkina Faso and the Uranium of Niger Republic among other resources, that’s why they are waving the false flag of democracy in Burkina Faso like they give a darn about the people of the country except their resources.
This is the time for Africans to stand together against the criminals from the West. Libya must not repeat again in our time or ever. The same slavish imperialists that are working with criminals in a country like Nigeria without batting an eyelid, are the very ones pretending to care about whatever system that is obtainable in Burkina Faso. Their interests is only on the natural resources of Africa, they don’t care about the people of Africa.
