I WAS DISGUSTED WITH WHAT HAPPENED 

Given the controversy over the unexpected slap, he gave Will Smith to Chris Rock at the last Oscar awards ceremony, the actor Jim Carrey gave a strong criticism of what happened. 

The actor and comedian Jim Carrey did not hold back after the incident where Will Smith attacked comedian Chris Rock for calling his wife “bald”.

Interviewed on CBS’s “This Morning,” Carrey said he was “disgusted” by the standing ovation Will Smith received after receiving the statuette for Best Actor for the movie “King Richard.” “I was grossed out. The standing ovation grossed me out. Hollywood is just a mass. I really felt that it is a very clear indication that we are no longer the club of cool people.

Jim considered one of the best comedians of all time, considered that Will Smith should have been escorted out of the Oscar ceremony after slapping Chris.

“I would have announced that I would sue Will for $200 million because that video will be there forever, it will be ubiquitous, although he acknowledged that the comedian’s joke on Jada Pinkett was in bad taste.

That insult will last a long time. If you want to shout from the audience and show disapproval or say something on Twitter, that’s fine. But you have no right to go on stage and punch someone in the face because they said a few words.”

“The hit came out of nowhere because Will has something inside of him that frustrates him. I wish him well. I have nothing against Will Smith. He has done great things, but that was not a good time. He cast a shadow over everyone’s bright spot that night… It was selfish of him.”
