Popular Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as David, seems to be over his grieving and is back in the spotlight again.

Davido returned on the 21st with an announcement of the release of his new album ‘Timeless’ come March 31.

Days after deleting almost all his pictures and videos from his Instagram page, the singer announced his new project with a short teaser of his new album.

“There is a time for everything, a time to grieve and a time to heal, a time to laugh and a time to dance. A time to speak and a time for silence,” he wrote in the Instagram caption.

“Thank you to everyone out there for your love and support that has held me down. All the love and messages while I was away, the gifts sent the concerts you all threw! I appreciate it all. Today, I want to remind you all that what is now Timeless, was once new. It’s time for new. My next album TIMELESS is here, March 31st.”

Returning a couple of days after the first announcement, Davido said he is excited to bring the Timeless album to life while thanking his fans for the support he had received and also announcing his coming events.

“The support for Timeless over the last few days has been incredible. Thank you for the love. I am so excited to bring this album to life and share it with you in person.”

“London, New York City, and Lagos join me for ‘A Timeless Night,’ a special live event where we’ll make memories that will last forever. To my UK fans, pre-order Timeless from the official store and get access to the London pre-sale this Wednesday. See you there,” he wrote.

Davido has been inactive in the music scene for months following the tragic death of his son, Ifeanyi. The three-year-old whom he shares with his fiancée, Chioma Rowland, died in October 2022 after drowning in a pool at the singer’s residence in Lagos.

Davido was last seen publicly during his performance at the closing ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, he shared pictures of his crew members, Chioma, and himself before his performance at the closing ceremony on December 18, 2022, where he performed the official soundtrack for the tournament alongside Trinidad Cardona and Aisha.
