A more shocking edge was added to the rivalry between Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen when Marcus Jordan began dating the latter’s ex-wife Larsa Thank you for subscribing! Michael Jordan’s son Marcus believes his iconic dad would avoid the wedding if he was to marry Larsa Pippen – the ex-wife of the NBA ace’s former team-mate Scottie.

Jordan has already made it clear he does not like Marcus’ relationship with the 49-year-old reality television personality. Larsa and Marcus started seeing each other two years after she broke up with Scottie.

When pushed about whether he approved of Marcus and Larsa being an item, Jordan shook his head outside a restaurant before shouting “no” when further pushed on the topic. It’s a relationship that has piqued interest in Hollywood, as Jordan has reportedly not spoken to Pippen since they both aired their grievances at each other in the hit Netflix documentary, “The Last Dance”.

While discussing potential wedding scenarios, Marcus does not believe his father would be there to watch them tie the knot.

“His goal has always been to stay clear of our relationship,” the 32-year-old said on their podcast. “Look, at the root of it all is my dad’s relationship with your ex, Scottie.

“Obviously, we never talk about that, and I don’t think my dad wanted to comment on that. There is always that narrative, that rumour that I’m dating you in some sort of way to get back at whatever was said.

“One of the things [Jordan] also said was you don’t need my approval in your personal life, insinuating that that’s something that we could say for us. But I feel like if we came out saying that then we look defiant and combative and forget everybody else, we’re just going to do our thing.”

Despite the scenarios they were envisaging, Larsa made it clear they are a long way away from planning any future wedding. “I had 100 calls and text messages,” she said, amid rumours that they were going to be engaged soon. “People were congratulating us and I was like, ‘I’m so excited. But no, we are not engaged’.”

Pippen and Larsa

Jordan was close to Scottie and Larsa when they were still strutting their stuff in the NBA. However, they are not believe to be on speaking terms, particularly after what was said on the documentary. It is for this reason that Larsa does not believe the six-time NBA winner would come to their wedding in the future.

“Do you think you would have a wedding on a reality show,” she asked Marcus on their podcast. “I don’t think your parents would come.”
