Afro-pop star, Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2Baba, and wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia has renewed their wedding vows. To mark their 10th wedding anniversary, the celebrity couple renewed their vows to each other in a private intimate ceremony.

Mrs Idibia shared loved-up photos of the event on her verified Instagram. Breaking the news she wrote, “Yes fam… a guy and I renewed our vows, 10 years anniversary. Was very intimate but we want to also share it with the whole world. Will post pics and videos, enjoy the show but don’t judge me too much ooo.” With an emoji covering her face.

Clips from the ceremony were featured in an episode of the new reality show that follows the lives of Johannesburg’s young wealthy stars; Young, Famous & African which the celebrity couple is part of its cast. Recall that the couple had their wedding in Lagos in March 2012 and an elaborate one in Dubai the following year. They have two daughters, Isabella and Olivia.

In another event, the wife of the legendary singer Annie Macaulay-Idibia has opened up about the hurt she feels about meeting her husband first yet, her first daughter is his fifth child. In an emotional tone, she revealed to her co-host on the reality show Young Famous &African how much humiliation and embarrassment she has had to go through.

She said “when one meets someone and one realizes that one knew them first, yet one sees different women having babies for him. Then, has five kids with other women. My first child is his fifth and I met him before the other women that have children for him. Do you know how much humiliation and embarrassment I’ve faced?

‘How does one repeat the same mistake twice? I was hurt, even when he was engaged but that is a story for another day. It is painful sharing him with other women and it hurts. However, the good times are so much more than the bad and I still have forever to spend with him and make up for the bad times. People actually abuse the word ‘love’, love is more than what people say it is.”

Last year the couple had a wrecking misunderstanding that many thought would end their marriage, Annie was bitter that her husband spends so much time with his other baby mama whenever he is out in the US. The issue was however resolved and the couple apologised to each other months after they renew their vows.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede while appreciating the singer said, OAU now has the best recording studio in Nigeria among all other Universities.

2Baba said he was honored to have been inducted into the school of music as “A Fellow of the School of Music” by the institution. He also revealed a post that he would be replicating same at the Benue State University, “Today I just commissioned the multimillion studios I built for the music department in OAU Ile-ife.
