GHANAIAN MUSICIANS HAVE CALLED FOR A TEMPORARY BAN ON NIGERIAN AND FOREIGN MUSIC IN THE COUNTRY STARTING THIS DECEMBER..

“Why ban Nigerian/foreign music in Ghana?!. A Ghanaian brother was having a small show in the UK, I went there to support him. When I arrived and asked them to let me perform for free and show love to my brother, they refused and said I wanted to steal his spotlight. I left and went back home. The next day, Davido called me and booked me a flight to perform at his show in Atlanta. I performed my songs in front of over 50,000 people for free, and Davido paid all my expenses.

That was the biggest international stage I have ever performed at, and it was given to me by a Nigerian. Our problem is not Nigerian music; we don’t love ourselves in this industry. Our problem is not Nigerian or foreign music. Let’s start by Loving ourselves, and then we will find out ” – Ghanaian singer King Promise talks on the Play 100% Ghanaian music campaign
