Unemployed Mamadu Djalo, 63, is struggling with money having only recently applied for  Universal Credit. In addition, he is burdened with a prepaid meter that eats up his balance at an alarming rate, where he pays “£50 every five days” – although he takes extreme precautions to limit performance.
